Never retiring!

Whenever I speak to people about life, I reflect on mine. I've recently noticed that a lot of people are retiring and many are waiting for the opportunity to do so. I don't understand this concept.

When I think of the word, "retiring", I think of someone who was doing something tiring who is opting to tire again. It sounds draining and maybe this is why many perish after they retire. Life likes action and sitting around is a sign that you're not in action.

With so many skills and so much experience, it'd seem that the older years would provide an opportunity to share in new ways. Older generations have seen so much. They're a wealth of knowledge and insight. You habe value! You've watched history take place. You've survived.

To any older people reading this, when it's time for you to leave your job, please take this opportunity to get to work. Do you see the world we live in? Be bold and share your knowledge. Speak up! Share what you've seen and watched take place. 

Don't just retire then complain that young people don't do anything. Think about what you can do! Create what you've always envisioned. Don't settle and retire because the company says you can stop working. The job is done but the real work is waiting.
